Isabelle has written and directed twenty films on wildlife, nature, and social justice. Her latest feature-length documentary, Part of the Pack explores the complex relationships between people and wolves, was nominated for five LEO Awards, and has received several other awards.
Her previous documentary, Toad People, has received international recognition including an Impact Panda Award at the Wildscreen Film Festival, the world’s top natural history storytelling festival.
Isabelle is currently writing, directing and producing a new documentary on western sandpipers.
Isabelle has also produced short videos for National Geographic and written and co-directed several documentary films on British Columbia’s species at risk for environmental organisations, including the Wilderness Committee, the Yellowstone to Yukon Conservation Initiative and the Oregon Spotted Frog Recovery Team, profiling scientists in the field. Isabelle also has a strong commitment to social justice and is currenlty directing and writing a series short films to raise awareness on disability and housing in partnership with Disability Alliance BC.
Isabelle’s films have been screened at environmental and wildlife film festivals, nature events, educational institutions, and science museums across Canada and the United States.
